Tet Holiday( Lunar New Year)
This is the most celebrated festival in Vietnam. People celebrate it with their friends and family. Gifts and flowers are distributed, candles are lit, streets are bustling with food stalls, and colorful performances are organized. Fireworks make the celebration livelier. This festival is celebrated according to the Vietnamese calendar so you’ll have to check the date each year. Normally, Tet Holiday often is in the 2nd half of Jan or 1st half of Feb.
Hoi An Lantern Festival
One of the most famous festivals in Vietnam and draws a huge number of visitors. During this festival, the lights go out in the town, and people gather on riverbanks in groups to send down twinkly lanterns into the river. This festival is held around the 10th to 15th day of every lunar month.
Mid-August Festivals
The Mid-Autumn Festival celebrated on lunar August is a festival mainly for the Children. During the festival parents buy their children various types of lanterns, snacks and funny masks.
Dalat Flower Festival
This is about making things out of flowers. Colorful costumes, spectacular performances, and fireworks make the festival interesting. It is held in the last days of December.
